"M
ore Powerful than all poetry, more pervasive than all science,
more profound than all philosophy are the letters of the alphabet,
twenty six pillars of strength upon which our culture rests."

About Us
The Western Reserve Calligraphers
Scripts & Scribes
Founded in April 1977, the purpose of The WRC is to
educate its members about the historical foundation and
contemporary approaches to beautiful lettering. Anyone
interested in calligraphy and letterforms is invited to join
The Western Reserve Calligraphers.
Founded in 1981, the purpose of Scripts & Scribes is to bring greater public recognition to the art of calligraphy; to provide a forum for the discussion and exchange of ideas; and to advance and enhance the knowledge of calligraphy through education and practice.  Scripts & Scribes meets at 7 pm on the first Thursday of each month at Church of Christ West Side in Akron, Ohio. The church is located at 645 North Revere Road in Akron.
