*  1:00 pm   Program:  "Decorated Versals" by Larry Gabler.  Learn to draw the structures of versals.  Then we will decorate them with colors using gel pens called GLAZE by Sakura available at Pat Catans, as well as Pentel Sliccis, individually available at Pat Catans or in 8 packs at Hobby Lobby.  Bring colors of your choice, or the above or other gel pens of your choosing.  Bring paper - glossy or any pentel paper for pens, etc.  We will have a few pens available to buy if you don't have time to stop by Catans before the meeting. 

*  Business Meeting / Refreshments to follow - Remember East Side is potluck!  Bring a snack to share.

"Alphabet Soup" by Carolyn Steinbicker.  Carolyn will demonstrate her cut paper collage technique of letter formation using papers, ribbons, pieces of fabric, feathers, scraps of papers of all kinds which she used masterfully in creating her Alphabet Soup framed art piece.  Bring scraps of papers, yarn, ribbons, feathers, fabric etc, scissors or x-acto knife and cutting mat, glue .....a piece of dark colored mat board or white for mounting if you have some...we will bring some too.

Niji water brush and/or a Japanese sumi brush

This is Miwako’s last Scripts&Scribes meeting before returning to Japan.

Meeting this Sunday, 9/23!

The Western Reserve Calligraphers will meet this Sunday at Strongsville Public Library at 1 pm.  Jennifer Johnson will give a presentation on weathergrams, which are short pieces of verse that hang outside from equinox to solstice, or vice versa.  Paper and ink will be provided.  Bring a pencil, ruler and eraser for layout, and a pen with nibs C-1, C-2, C-3 or similar. 

Business meeting will follow at 4 pm, and refreshments are provided.

Also, it's time for dues again!  Bring your check to the meeting, we'd love to see you!
